Well Done Karen!

Monday, 12 October 2009 Karen Gutans, a swimming teacher at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre recently took part in the first Hospiscare 1 mile swim at Roadford Lake, near Okehampton. The well organised event took place on 26th September with over 400 swimmers taking part. Exeter FM were in attendance and the crowd helped making the fun atmosphere, enjoyed by all. Fitness Classes Are Changing

Sunday, 4 October 2009 During October, the three leisure centres are implementing their new winter fitness class timetables. Therefore the fitness class timetables are changing from summer programme to a new winter version. Every quarter, the programme of classes is reviewed and adapted so that we know that we are providing the classes our customers prefer. Crediton Skate Park Opening & Skate Jam

Thursday, 1 October 2009 The official opening of Crediton Skate Park takes place on Saturday 3 October at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, Crediton. To mark the occasion Mid Devon District Council is holding a Skate Jam – an open competition for skateboards, Inline and BMX – from 1.00pm. Registration for the competition will be from 12 noon on the day.
