How many of us start a new year promising ourselves that we will be fitter, lighter, healthier, less wobbly around the edges or something similar? Many of us start a new year with great intentions and within a few weeks our motivation begins to disappear, along with our determination to see our resolutions through to actually achieving our goals. How would you like an expert of your very own to keep you an track? That is exactly what we are offering you as a Gym or Ultra Zest Member, through the Mid Devon Leisure Yearly Fitness Plan.
Here's how it works:
- You are given your own Yearly Fitness Plan Diary for 2010 which is yours to keep, and a one to one appointment with a Fitness Instructor.
- Your year starts with a fitness assessment during which you find what your starting point is in terms of fitness - this involves taking measurements that are recorded in your Yearly Fitness Plan Diary as your "Initial Assessment"
- You discuss your goals and how you may achieve them with your instructor, who will write you a free personalised fitness programme.
- At your second one to one appointment you will be given a detailed induction of your fitness programme for the fitness studio. Your instructor may also recommend specific classes or other activities to help you to have a varied programme of exercise.
- You will arrange your next appointment for a review and make a note in your diary when this will be.
- During the next 8 weeks you follow your exercise programme using your diary to record your visits, feelings, feedback, notes or questions for your instructor.
- At your next appointment, which may be 8 weeks later, you will record again some of the measurements taken at your initial appointment. Hopefully you will not only feel but see some real improvements in your fitness as your results are recorded in your diary.
- Your programme is discussed and reviewed so that during the next 8 weeks you are recommended the right activities for you and your programme is adapted appropriately.
- And so on, throughout the year you will keep having one to one advice and support from your fitness instructor ensuring that you are using your exercise sessions to your best advantage and of course enjoying yourself.
- By the end of the year we hope to share with you the delight in seeing some real improvements in your fitness and achieving the goals you set yourself at the beginning of the year.
