As you become a more competent and confident swimmer, many other water based disciplines become available to you. As a swimmer you can experience all kinds of aquatic activities for fun, fitness or competition, there being many options available to you.  The Amateur Swimming Association website has all the information you may need at www.britishswimming.org

Barracuda

At Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, the Barracuda sessions are for juniors who have achieved stage 6 or above. A chance to explore lots of different disciplines. Click here for further information.

Synchronised Swimming

Snorkelling

At Lords Meadow Leisure Centre. 4 week courses to learn and develop basic snorkelling skills with British Sub Aqua Snorkelling qualified instructors. Distance Swimming

Life Saving and Rookie Lifeguard

The Royal Life Saving Society www.lifesavers.org.uk offer courses for Rookie Lifeguard for younger swimmers, which can lead on to Beach and Pool lifeguard qualifications. The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification can be gained by attending a course at Exe Valley Leisure Centre or Lords Meadow Leisure Centre. Click here to email the trainer.
